Dr. Hamed Mazaherian

Dr. Hamed Mazaherian has an extensive and diverse background in the fields of architecture, higher education, and academic management. He has served as Deputy Minister for Housing and Building Affairs and has been a member of several key committees, including the Architecture and Urban Planning Task Force and the Education Committee of the Tehran Province Construction Engineering Organization. He has also held leadership positions such as Dean of the College of Fine Arts and Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Tehran, in addition to serving as Head of the Department of Architecture and Director of the Center of Excellence in Architectural Technology. Dr. Mazaherian has played an active role in both scientific and professional arenas. He has served as a jury member for the architectural competition of the Nowavaran Khazar residential and recreational project and as a scientific committee member for conferences on seismic retrofitting of historic buildings and the conservation and restoration of cultural-historical objects and architectural decorations. He has also contributed significantly to the academic and cultural structure of the university through his roles in the Beautification Committee of the University of Tehran and the Humanities Transformation Commission. His academic involvement further includes membership in the Center for Culture and Art Studies and participation in the Cultural Council of the College of Fine Arts.

Dr. Maryam Khalili

Dr. Maryam Khalili is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Industrial Design Department at the University of Tehran, specializing in user experience design with a focus on healthcare applications and product/service systems. She holds a Ph.D. in Design from the University of Paris 1 and is dedicated to improving interactions between users and healthcare systems through innovative design solutions. Her research explores the intersection of technology and user care, aiming to enhance the usability and effectiveness of healthcare interfaces. Dr. Khalili has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, advancing the role of design in improving quality of life. Passionate about education, she teaches courses in behavior design, ergonomic design, and design thinking, guiding students to apply their skills to real-world healthcare challenges. Beyond academia, she contributes to workshops and seminars that promote design literacy among healthcare professionals, fostering a stronger link between design expertise and patient-centered care.

Dr. Mehran Fateminia

Dr. Mehran Fateminia is an Assistant Professor and Deputy for Financial and Administrative Affairs at the College of Fine Arts, where he teaches courses on Human-Technology Interaction, Design Methodology, and Design Management, with a particular focus on Design Thinking. He leads and oversees research related to the development, planning, and design processes of innovative product and service systems. He earned his Ph.D. in Design from Folkwang University of the Arts in Germany. Dr. Fateminia has supervised numerous theses and published several papers in national and international conferences. His interdisciplinary research focuses on developing intelligent systems in the fields of health and wearable technology, playing a significant role in bridging the domains of design, technology, and health.

Dr. Hassan Sadeghi Naeini

Assoc. Prof. Hassan Sadeghi Naeini is a faculty member in the Department of Industrial Design at Iran University of Science and Technology, specializing in ergonomic design and sustainability. With over two decades of academic and industrial experience, he leads research and consultancy projects that integrate human-centered design with sustainable innovation. He is actively involved in international scholarly communities, contributes to peer-reviewed journals and academic books, and regularly presents at global conferences. Additionally, he has taught at several international universities, including KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Politecnico di Milano (POIMI), and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

Dr. Yassaman Khodadadeh

Yassaman Khodadadeh is an Associate Professor and the Head of the Industrial Design Department at the University of Tehran, Kish International Campus. She initiated the International PhD program in Industrial Design at the university, which collaborates with leading universities globally. She is also the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Design Thinking. Her research focuses on areas such as children's design, health, behavior, positive design, user well-being, happiness, and sustainability, and she has contributed to the field through her publications.

Dr. Ebrahim Bagheri Taleghani

Ebrahim Bagheri Taleghani is an Assistant Professor in the Industrial Design Department at Iran University of Art. He is a researcher in human-centered design (HCD) and design methodology, and has authored a book and numerous articles in this field. He serves on the scientific committee for the Industrial Design discipline in the National Education Assessment Organization. His contributions include membership in the scientific committee of the First International Conference on Packaging, Handicrafts, Sustainable Development at Al-Zahra University (2015), judging for the Idiran National Design Competition (2016–2017), and serving on the jury for the AISA Furniture Design Competition at the University of Tehran (2017). Since 2019, he has been on the editorial board of Dastavard Magazine, published by Iran University of Art. In 2025, he joined the scientific committee of the First Biennial Conference on Packaging Design and Innovation at the University of Guilan. He actively collaborates with scientific centers, publications, and industry in reviewing scholarly work and developing innovative products and services.

Dr. Hadi Moradi

Hadi Moradi earned his B.S. in electrical and electronics engineering from the University of Tehran in 1989, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in robotics and intelligent systems from the University of Southern California in 1994 and 1999. He has worked in both industry and academia, including two years at FEM Engineering and positions at USC and SKKU in South Korea (2000–2008). Since 2008, he has been with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UT. His research focuses on computational psychology through games, intelligent systems, and robotics. Dr. Moradi has received several honors, including the best paper award at CLAWAR 2008, a finalist position at ROBIO 2011, and multiple awards for his cognitive screening and rehabilitation games. Active in IEEE since 2004, he has served as chair of the IEEE Iran Section and co-chair of the Service Robots Technical Committee of the Robotics and Automation Society.

Dr. Somayeh Fadaei Nezhad

 

Dr. Behzad Soleimani

Behzad Soleimani is an Associate Professor in the Industrial Design Department at the Faculty of Arts, Al-Zahra University, and founder/art director of Sol Design Studio. He has lectured at institutions including the University of Tehran’s College of Fine Arts, College of Applied Arts, and College of Art and Architecture. A member of the Iran Graphic Designers Society and the Furniture and Decoration Experts Association, he actively connects academia with industry. Professor Soleimani has served as a jury member for competitions such as the Top Design competition at the Academy of Arts, the Premier Creativity competition at the Faculty of Arts, and the Car Design competition at Iran Khodro. He has directed major cultural events, including the International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Isfahan and the Fajr International Film Festival. His projects include the first International Sculpture Symposium in Tehran, urban design for key city areas, and evaluating top designs in national exhibitions.

Dr. Nasser Koleini Mamaghani

Nasser Koleini Mamaghani received his M.Sc. degree in Architectural Design Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology in 1993 and his Ph.D. in Industrial Design from Chiba University, Japan, in 2002. From 2002 to 2004, he served as a postdoctoral researcher in the Artifact Design Science Division, Faculty of Engineering, Chiba University, under the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program supported by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Design at the School of Architecture and Environmental Design, Iran University of Science and Technology. His research interests include Kansei Engineering, Human-Oriented Design, Universal Design, Ergonomics, Physiological Anthropology, and Design Methodology. Dr. Koleini Mamaghani has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences and is the author of four books.

Dr. Ehsan Garosi

Dr. Garosi specializes in physical ergonomics, human factors, and AI-integrated ergonomic design. With a Ph.D. in Ergonomics from Tehran University, his research spans biomechanics, exoskeleton evaluation, ergonomjc intervention. He actively contributes to academic development through teaching, publications, and interdisciplinary innovation in workplace safety and design.

Dr. Seyed Javad Zafarmand

Seyed Javad ZAFARMAND received BA and MA in the field of Industrial Design from University of Tehran and PhD in the field of Design Science (specialized in Design Management) from Chiba University, Japan. He worked as a faculty member (Assistant/Associate Prof.) at Design Departments of University of Tehran, Chiba University and Iran University of Science & Technology. He also completed the Post-Doctoral research (JSPS Fellowship) on Product Subjective Sustainability at Chiba University. He is currently Associate Prof. of Faculty of Art & Architecture at Shiraz University, Iran. His professional studies/interests are: Product Aesthetics, Visual Arts Fundamentals, Emotional Design, Sustainable Design, Art/Design Research Methodology, Comparative Art/Design Studies and Strategic Design Management.

Dr. Farzaneh Eftekhari

Dr. Farzaneh Eftekhari is an Assistant Professor of Industrial Design at the University of Tehran. Her research integrates design, entrepreneurship, education, and technology, with a focus on how design thinking enables innovation and venture creation in emerging contexts. She investigates technology-driven pedagogies, experiential learning models, and the role of digital ecosystems—particularly AI—in shaping adaptive and entrepreneurial design practices. Dr. Eftekhari has co-led NSF- and VentureWell-funded projects on hybrid design, fabrication, and entrepreneurship education, and her work appears in leading venues such as the International Journal of Human–Computer Interaction and Learn X Design. Drawing on international research collaborations across the U.S., Europe, and Iran, her scholarship advances design-led approaches to innovation that connect technological capability with human-centered learning and institutional transformation.

Dr. Adel Mazloumi

Prof. Adel Mazloumi, Ph.D. is Guest Professor at Nagoya City University, Japan, and Professor of Occupational Safety and Ergonomics at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. His research focuses on Human-Centered System Design, Smart Ergonomics, HEP Model in Ergonomics
